WhatsApp is Coco’s primary platform. From setting reminders and managing your calendar to sending reminders to friends, everything Coco can do is available on WhatsApp.
Connecting WhatsApp
There are two ways to connect your WhatsApp account to Coco:
Option 1 — From the Dashboard (recommended):
- Log in to your Dashboard
- In the left sidebar, find the Message Coco section and click the WhatsApp button
- A dialog will appear with a unique linking code
- Copy the code and send it to Coco at +1 (240) 505-4050 on WhatsApp — or click Open WhatsApp in the dialog to have it pre-filled for you
- Coco will confirm that your WhatsApp number is now linked
Option 2 — Directly on WhatsApp:
Save +1 (240) 505-4050 as a contact and send any message to start, then follow the linking code flow from the Dashboard.
Your default platform is where Coco sends your reminders, daily briefings, and notifications. To set or confirm WhatsApp as your default:
- Log in to your Dashboard
- Go to Settings → Account
- Scroll to Linked Accounts → Default Messaging Platform
- Select WhatsApp from the dropdown
The default platform only controls where Coco proactively reaches out to you. You can still chat with Coco on both WhatsApp and Telegram regardless of which is set as default.
Disconnecting WhatsApp
To unlink your WhatsApp number:
- Log in to your Dashboard
- Go to Settings → Account
- Scroll to Linked Accounts → WhatsApp
- Click Disconnect and confirm
Disconnecting WhatsApp will not delete your reminders, lists, or any other data. However, if WhatsApp is your only connected platform, you will need to reconnect a platform to receive messages from Coco again.
